Rebel Moon Part Two: The ScargiverToday, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, a sequel to Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, comes to Netflix. Directed by Zack Snyder, the film continues the epic story of the surviving fighters, led by Kora (Sofia Boutella), as they prepare to sacrifice everything in order to help defend their new home of Veldt against the Motherworld. Before the opposition arrives to crush the growing rebellion, the warriors must each face their pasts, revealing why they fight. Michiel Huisman reprises his role as Gunnar along with many other returning cast members. 

Recently, Boutella and Huisman spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including what’s to come for their characters’ relationship, action scenes, working with practical effects, and more.

Exclusive Video Interview: Christian Slater and Joy Bryant Talk The Spiderwick Chronicles

The Spiderwick ChroniclesBased on the book series of the same name by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, The Spiderwick Chronicles premieres today on The Roku Channel. The series follows follows Helen Grace (Joy Bryant), her 15-year-old fraternal twin-sons, Jared (Lyon Daniels) and Simon (Noah Cottrell), and her her daughter Mallory (Mychala Lee), as they move from Brooklyn, New York to their ancestral home, the Spiderwick Estate, in Henson, Michigan. At Spiderwick, Jared discovers that magical creatures are real, but the only one who believes him is his great-aunt Lucinda (Charlayne Woodard), who tells him that he needs to find the pages of her father’s field guide to magical creatures to protect them from the evil Ogre, Mulgarath (Christian Slater).

Tyler CameronToday, Going Home with Tyler Cameron premieres on Prime Video. The series stars former heartthrob from The Bachelorette, Tyler Cameron, as he takes on a new career, staring his own construction and home renovation company. After Cameron’s mother passed, the reality tv star returned to his hometown of Jupiter, Florida to reunite with his family and also reach his goal of creating the company, Image One. Joining Cameron on his renovation team is house-flipper Robb Ritch and interior designer, Jessica Quintero. Other reality tv stars from The Bachelorette also make appearances during the season. 

The series will follow Cameron through challenges of home renovation and building his new company, culminating in turning Cameron’s late mother’s home into one she dreamed of.

Dinner with the ParentsThe new sing-camera comedy, Dinner with the Parents, premieres today on Amazon Freevee. The series follows weekly chaotic family dinners with brothers Gregg (Daniel Thrasher) and David (Henry Hall) Langer and their parents, Jane (Michaela Watkins) and Harvey (Dan Bakkedahl) and grandmother, Rose (Carol Kane). Jon Glaser also stars as neighbor Donnie. The show, which was created by Jon Beckerman, who also serves as executive producer, is based on the British sitcom Friday Night Dinner.

Recently, SciFi Vision spoke with Thrasher, Hall, Watkins, Bakkedahl, Kane, and Beckerman about working on the series, including how the production was different working in England, connecting with the characters, working with snakes, cracking up on set, and much much more.

Video Interview: Star Trek: Discovery’s David Ajala & Doug Jones

Star Trek: Discovery Star Trek: Discovery has always balanced the ship’s mission and weekly conflicts with the crew’s personal lives: Captain Burnham’s affair with a Klingon sleeper agent, Stamets (Anthony Rapp) and Culber (Wilson Cruz)’s marriage, Adira (Blu del Barrio)’s relationship with Gray (Ian Alexander). Last season, fans were thrilled when it looked like Commander Saru (Doug Jones) would get his own shot at romance with Vulcan President T’rina (Tara Rosling).

Season five finds the galaxy’s favorite power couple juggling love, service and politics. During a recent interview with the press, SciFi Vision asked actor Doug Jones how Saru is going to blend his Kelpian instincts with T’rina’s strict logic.

David Ajala, who plays Cleveland Booker was also part of the interview.

Exclusive Video Interview: Wicked Little Letters' Star Anjana Vasan

Wicked Little Letters Last weekend, the film, Wicked Little Letters, opened nationwide. The movie, based on a true story, takes places in the 1920s in the seaside town of Little Hampton and stars Olivia Coleman as the very conservative Edith Swan and Jessie Buckley as the loud Irish migrant Rose Gooding. When Edith and the others in the town start receiving anonymous wicked little letters filled with vulgarities, it causes an uproar and Rose is charged with the crime. However, Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) doesn’t believe her to be the true culprit, and she and the other townswomen decide to find out the truth. 

Recently, actress Vasan spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including her preparation for the character, how the costume was an important part of it, and working with Olivia Coleman.

Video Interview: Star Trek: Discovery Stars Wilson Cruz, Mary Wiseman & Blu del Barrio

Star Trek: DiscoverySince joining the crew of Discovery in season three, Adira Tal has become an almost indispensable part of the crew. Their engineering genius sometimes make us forget that Adira is the youngest person aboard, still just a kid trying to figure out who they want to be. 

In this week’s episode (503, “Jinaal”) the away team is on Trill, where Adira reconnects with long-distance boyfriend Gray. During a recent interview with the press, SciFi Vision asked performer Blu del Barrio how they channel their inner teenager to make the emotion resonate on screen.

Wilson Cruz, who plays Dr. Hugh Culber, and Mary Wiseman, who plays Sylvia Tilly, were also part of the interview.

Exclusive Video Interviews: The Long Game’s Cast Works, Chavez, & Cullen & Director Quintana

The Long GameBased on the book Mustang Miracle by Humberto G. Garcia, which is based on a true story, The Long Game tells the story of J.B. Peña (Jay Hernandez), who in 1956 moved with his wife (Jaina Lee Ortiz) to Del Rio, Texas for a job as the superintendent of the school, but also because he dreamed of becoming a member of the all-white Del Rio Country Club. He is devastated when he’s denied entry because of his skin color, but when he meets a group of young Mexican-American golf caddies working at the club who have built their own course to teach themselves the sport, he is inspired. He convinces them to start a team for their high school, and eventually, despite having inferior equipment, they go on to compete against other affluent all-white teams and eventually win the 1957 Texas State High School Golf Championship, which broke barriers for Latino PGA golfers that followed. The film also stars Dennis Quaid, Cheech Marin, Julian Works, Brett Cullen, Oscar Nuñez, Richard Robichaux, and Paulina Chávez.

Recently, SciFi Vision spoke with stars Works, Chávez, and Cullen, as well as writer and director Julio Quintana, about the film, which is playing in theaters nationwide, starting tomorrow.
