"Wilfred: Season 2" on Blu-ray and DVD June 18, 2013
"Wilfred: Season 2" Elijah Wood and Jason Gann return for another fearlessly funny season of Wilfred...the story of a dog and his man. Season two finds Ryan making a fresh start with a real job and a new girlfriend. But with Wilfred's help, Ryan discovers he still has a lot to learn about life, including "squishy" viral videos and the on-going cuteness war between dogs and babies.

By Jamie Ruby Wilfred returns to FX tonight with a special preview episode of the series, "Progress." Wilfred, which was adapted for FX by David Zuckerman, centers around the character of Ryan, played by Elijah Wood. On the verge of attempted suicide, Ryan struggles to find happiness in his life, until he meets "Wilfred." Everyone sees Wilfred (Jason Gann) as a dog; however, Ryan sees him as a man in a dog suit. Wilfred is actually Ryan's alter-ego and way of coping to "break out of his shell." Most fans will know Wood from his role of Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings trilogy or as Mumble in Happy Feet, but the actor has a long list of credits to his name. Wood will also be reprising the role of Frodo in the upcoming film The Hobbit. I recently got a chance to talk to Wood in an interview with the media.

You'll sit up and beg for more of Wilfred, the most hilarious and daringly original new comedy on TV.
Elijah Wood stars as Ryan, a down-on-his-luck lawyer who forms a unique friendship with his sexy neighbor's pet pooch "Wilfred." Everyone else sees a dog, but Ryan sees a bong-ripping, beer-chugging, foul-mouthed Australian bloke in a furry suit (played by the outrageously funny Jason Gann.) By unleashing the surly, sweet and always adventurous Wilfred, Ryan may just learn to stand on his own hind legs and embrace the insanity of real life.

Wilfred, based on the critically acclaimed Australian series of the same name, has been added to FX's programming schedule with an order of thirteen episodes. This comedy series stars Elijah Wood ( The Lord of the Rings trilogy) as "Ryan" and Jason Gann as "Wilfred," who will be reprising his role from the original series. Gann was also the creator of the original series and serves as co-executive producer and writer on the FX remake. The story follows Wood's character, who after struggling to find happiness after listening to everyone but himself, has become suicidal. That is when he meets "Wilfred," his neighbor Jenna's (played by Californication's Fiona Gublemann) dog, who he sees as a man dressed in a dog suit. "Wilfred" is "Ryan's" alter-ego, trying to help him find happiness and break out of his shell. Wood and Gann recently sat down with Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision and MediaBlvd to discuss the new series which airs tonight at 10pm ET/PT on FX.
