As part of the Syfy Digital Press Tour, journalists were taken on a tour of the Defiance set. After arriving in the Need/Want bar at the end of the tour, everyone sat down for presentations. First we heard from Gary Hutzel who gave a VFX presentation, and then we heard from David J. Peterson on the creation of three of the alien languages in Defiance, including Irathient, Castithan, and Indogene. The main presentation was a Q&A panel with the cast of Defiance, including Grant Bowler, who plays Nolan, Stephanie Leonidas, who portrays the Irathient, Irisa, Julie Benz who plays Amanda Rosewater, Jaime Murray and Tony Curran, who play Castithans Stahma and Datak Tarr, respectively, and Graham Greene, who portrays Rafe McCawley. They were joined by the executive producer of the series, Kevin Murphy, and President of Original Content at Syfy, Mark Stern.

This year SciFi Vision once again attended the Syfy Digital Press Tour, this time in Toronto, Ontairo, Canada. We not only hung out with the stars of Haven and Being Human, but we also got to visit the sets of the upcoming series Defiance, as well as Warehouse 13.
In the coming days, look for full coverage of the event, including reviews and tons of photos. You can also find a lot of the photos I took at Twitter via @scifivision, which will eventually all go in the gallery on this site.
For now, you can check out the stream below of what the press (including myself) was saying during the event, including all the photos and videos that were posted.

By Jamie Ruby Powerful Mondays are returning to Syfy, first with Being Human, and then with the premiere of the sexy supernatural drama Lost Girl. The series, which originally aired in Canada, was recently acquired by Syfy and has been optioned for at least the two seasons that have been filmed at the time of the press tour. The series follows the character of Bo, played by Anna Silk, who discovers that she is not human, but a fae - a succubus to be exact, who lives by feeding off sexual energy by draining humans. She is helped by human doctor Laura Lewis, played by Zoie Palmer, who tries helps Bo control her hunger. Bo is also helped by Detective Dyson, played by Kris Holden-Ried, who is a shape-shifter fae on the side of the light. The three form quite a love triangle. Bo fights to not choose a side between light and dark which causes friction among the factions as she also tries to learn more about her past and her potential. By Jamie Ruby Syfy will be launching its countdown to Christmas week, starting with the all new original four-hour miniseries, Neverland. The show is a origin story about how the characters we all know and love from J.M. Barrie's classic become those characters. Written and directed by Nick Willing, who directed the miniseries Tin Man, as well as Alice, which he also wrote, Neverland will air over two consecutive nights, begining on December 4th. The miniseries stars Charlie Rowe of Pirate Radio as Peter Pan, Rhys Ifans, who many fans will know from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, as James Hook, and Anna Friel of Pushing Daisies as Captain Elizabeth Bonnie. The three stars recently joined the press at the Syfy Digital Press Tour in Orlando, Florida to talk about the epic adventure.
