By Lynn Tackitt Of all the new shows that have made their debut over this last season Jane By Design surprised me the most. At first it looked like a typical teenage show with a little fashion thrown in, but half way through the pilot episode you see it is so much more than that. Sometimes funny and sometimes serious but all the time entertaining. A big part of that comes from newcomer Erica Dasher. A wonderful actress who can make you find yourself cheering her on in her two-sided coin of her life, and sometimes groaning in disappointment along with her when something just doesn't work out. Dasher talked about Jane By Design with the new season plot line, the cast members, and what it's like to film on the weekly schedule of her hit television show. Always pleasant to speak with, she seems to have a laugh always on the edge of her conversation and she is just as wonderful to talk to in her interviews as her character on the show. Maybe it should be "Erica By Design?"

It doesn't just take a good encouraging teacher, it takes passion and desire. Against the backdrop of a dance studio and the girls who want to be bunheads, a story unfolds about Michelle (Sutton Foster) who marries Hubbell Flowers and comes to his small town and eventually starts to teach at his mother's dance studio, run by Fanny Flowers (Kelly Bishop). Over the years you have seen Kelly Bishop in memorable roles, such as Marjorie Houseman in Dirty Dancing, as Emily Gilmore on The Gilmore Girls, and now her newest project is on ABC Family's Bunheads. Ms. Bishop speaks with us about her past history of dancing, her roles and relationships, and the new project with a cast of talented young ladies, and the storylines around them.
