SYFY RENEWS ‘WYNONNA EARP’ FOR THIRD SEASON

From IDW Entertainment and SEVEN24 Films, Season 3 Slated to Premiere in 2018

SAN DIEGO, CA –July 22, 2017 – Today, SYFY and IDW Entertainment announced the renewal of the breakout supernatural series WYNONNA EARP for third season, expected to premiere in 2018. The announcement was made during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which was attended by cast members Melanie Scrofano, Shamier Anderson, Tim Rozon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, Varun Saranga, Tamara Duarte, along with showrunner and creator Emily Andras and comic book creator Beau Smith. Moderated by UPROXX’s Donna Dickens, the cast revealed behind-the-scenes antics and more details about the biggest hidden secret of the season – writing in Melanie Scrofano’s real-life pregnancy, which made Wynonna Earp the first pregnant superhero. Die-hard Earpers got to see an exclusive trailer for the remainder of the season, and were surprised by the Season 3 renewal announcement made on stage by IDW Entertainment President, David Ozer.

TOM WELLING JOINS “LUCIFER” IN SEASON THREE

LUCIFER Returns Monday, October 2, in its New Time Period (8:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX

Tom Welling (“Smallville”) will join Season Three of LUCIFER. Welling will play “Marcus Pierce,” an accomplished police lieutenant who is everything Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is not – strategic, reserved and well-respected. But perhaps even more annoying are all the things they have in common. Both men are charming, charismatic and handsome as hell. So when Pierce starts developing a connection with Decker (Lauren German), Lucifer's devilish traits are inflamed.

Entering its third season, the story of the original fallen angel continues, when LUCIFER returns Monday, Oct. 2 in its new time period (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. As Season Two came to a close, Lucifer took care of a little problem called Mom, aka Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). But now he’s facing an even greater challenge – finding out who kidnapped him, and why his angel wings are back.

First Look At Tonight’s Ghastly Cold Open

Tonight Syfy aired the episode of Wynonna Earp, "Everybody Knows." In the episode, Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) reveals that Doc (Tim Rozon) may not actually be the father of her unborn child. It's possible that the father is the revenant, Jonas, played by Mark Ghanimé, who she met one night in a bar when she was drunk.

Thursday, Ghanimé talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about guest starring on the show, his thoughts on his character, and what's next for him.

Tonight Syfy aired an all-new episode of Wynonna Earp, "Everybody Knows." In the episode, Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Doc Holliday, played by Tim Rozon, finally talk about her being pregnant. He seems quite happy to be the father of her unborn child, until Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) spills the beans, and he finds out that he actually might not be.

Recently, Rozon talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about Doc's feelings on the matter, working with a pregnant Scrofano, and more.

A Celebration of Sci-Fi Fandom, CON MAN Will Make its Television Premiere in September

SAN DIEGO, CA – July 21, 2017 – SYFY today announced the acquisition of Seasons 1 and 2 of buzzy web series CON MAN from Redbear Films. The news was shared with excited fans during SYFY’s CON MAN: Cons and Fandom Culture panel at San Diego Comic-Con by creator, star and moderator Alan Tudyk. The short form web series, which debuted on Vimeo and Comic-Con HQ, will premiere on SYFY in September. The critically-acclaimed, geektastic series, which recently received two Emmy nominations in the short form comedy or drama category, follows the journey of Wray Nerely (Tudyk), a washed-up, former sci-fi celebrity who revisits his glory days on the convention circuit.
