Wednesday night, TNT premieres its new series Legends, starring Sean Bean. Bean plays Martin Odum, an undercover FBI agent that works in the Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division. As such, Odum takes on a multitude of fabricated identies called "legends." Odum, however, begins to question everything when someone suggests that "Martin Odum" may be just a legend as well.

Bean talked to SciFi Vision about his favorite legend he has played so far. "I guess one of my favorites, perhaps the favorite, was the original character that was first created and that was Lincoln Dittmann and he was a kind of stumbling big geeky guy, kind of victim complex so just wants to latch on with other people.

"Then I'm one of these kids at school, you know, and the big kids, the big guys and the grownups and the people just above their class. And just to give them a sense of importance. And he was like that but really he was penetrating the hearts of the organization and ripping it out, ripping it to pieces.

"So it was a good front, it was a good legend to use for this particular occasion."

John Pyper-Ferguson, who portrays private security contractor, Tex, in TNT's The Last Ship, recently talked to the media about his work on the hit series, which has already been renewed for a second season.

Pyper-Ferguson talked to SciFi Vision about what first attracted him to the role of Tex. "I got what we call sides, so basically about ten pages of scene work for auditions. That was sent to me as there was interest in me going into read for Denise Chamian.

"I picked up the sides. I read them with a gal friend of mine. And we both looked at each other and said this role is mine. So I could only screw it up. So it was quite terrifying going in. And I read for Denise. And it went from there basically."

Jenny Slate plays Russ and Lina's friend Jess on FX's new half hour comedy Married. The actress recently talked to the media about her work on the show.

Slate talked to SciFi Vision about how she became involved in the series. "I got involved in the traditional way. My agent called me and said, "There's this project coming up at FX, and it seems like the kind of thing you would be interested in." Really, I heard the premise; I got the script. I read it, and thought, yes, this seems different for me. This seems like the kind of story, and the kind of character, that could actually go a bit deeper than some of my television work so far. I really loved all the jobs I've done, but I think it's good to always do something different, and I love the cast. I think Judy [Greer] and Nat [Faxon] had already been cast, and I was huge fans of both of them, so I just went in and auditioned. Very traditional."

The horror film Oculus follows Kaylie Russell (Karen Gillian) and her brother Tim (Brenton Thwaites), who survived untold horrors ten years prior when Tim was convicted of murdering their parents. Tim, who has been released from the mental institution, is ready to move forward with his life, but Kaylie wants to exact revenge on what she believes was true culprit, an antique mirror called the Lasser Glass. She believes the mirror has caused similar carnage throughout history to anyone who has stared into it, and will stop at nothing to destroy it.

Overall I really enjoyed the film. For a horror film it was at moments frightening and often downright creepy. The story was engaging and the film was well acted. The special effects were also realistic without being overly done.

In ABC Family's Chasing Life, actress Haley Ramm (X-Men: The Last Stand, Without a Trace) plays the part of Brenna Carver, April's sister. Brenna is a rebellious teen who envies her sister's perfect image, but does care for her and her family.
