FXX recently premiered the start of the fourth and final season of Wilfred. Recently, Elijah Wood, who plays Ryan, talked to the media about the new season.

The very strange and wonderful episode "Answers" had aired the night before the interview. Wood talked to SciFi Vision about Ryan's paranoia, what the actor first thought of the script, and what the character was thinking in the episode.

"Oh, my God. Well, reading the script, it was honestly I think my favorite script that I've read, maybe in the entire show. It was so exciting. I read the season in order, and I read like one through three, and then I read four, and it just totally blew my mind.

Tonight FX premieres its new 13-episode drama series The Strain, based on the book trilogy of the same name by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. The thriller follows Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Canary Team at the CDC in New York City. When a plane lands with appearingly no survivors and a mysterious viral outbreak, his team is called in. They will fight for humanity against this virulent strain that looks to be connected with ancient vampires. Helping Goodweather are team members Dr. Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) and Jim Kent (Sean Astin).

Pawnbroker Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley) races to catch up with the team to tell them what he knows about the dangerous virus and where it came from. They will soon discover he is not the addled old man he appears.

Sunday night FX premieres its new drama The Strain. The series focuses on a team of CDC scientists in New York, who are called in after a virus outbreak on a plane. They soon find out that the virus is like what they've never seen nor imagined.

In preparation, the co-creator, executive producer, and director of the pilot, Guillermo del Toro and executive producer and showrunner Carlton Cuse talked to the press in a conference call earlier in the week.

The two talked to SciFi Vision about how the television series mythology will relate to the book. "Book one is season one, yes. We basically follow the narrative of the first book in the first season. The plan is that the show will run somewhere between three and five seasons, and as we work out the mythology and the storytelling for season two we'll have a better idea of exactly how long our journey is going to be. But it won't be more than five seasons, we're definitely writing to an endpoint, and we're following the path as established in Guillermo and Chuck's novels. But obviously there's a lot that's also going to be added. The television show is its own experience, and there are new characters and new situations, different dramatic developments, so the show and the book can each be separately enjoyed.

Syfy recently premiered its new series Dominion. Two of the stars, Tom Wisdom, who plays the archangel Michael, and Roxanne McKee, who plays Claire Risen, talked to the digital media about their new roles.

McKee talked to SciFi Vision about what first drew her to the project. "When I read the script, gosh way back, ages ago now, I just thought it was a really interesting script. I thought the concept was really interesting, the ideology behind it. And I thought the part of Claire had a lot of room to grow. And I wanted to play a strong female character, and Claire definitely fitted that bill.

"And I think the writers' vision, Vaun's vision, and Scott, our original director and now producer, was one of real strength for a female character, which was a really big deal to me. And when I discussed that with them in the audition, when I got my recall, we were all on the same page. We were thinking more Princess Leia than Princess Sparkle, if that makes sense."

Recently TNT premiered season four of Falling Skies. Tom (Noah Wyle) and Anne (Moon Bloodgood)'s alien-human hybrid daughter, Lexi, has continued to grow at an abnormal rate, reaching young adulthood, as well as gained some interesting abilities. Scarlett Byrne, who joined the cast as Lexi this season, talked to Jamie Ruby in an exclusive interview about her work on the series.

Byrne originally auditioned for the role on tape. "I auditioned for it last year, I think around August time. I put myself on tape in one of my best friend's bedroom. And then I got a call, and I had a Skype meeting with Greg Beeman. And then I redid the tape in more of a studio setting, and then I found out I got the call. So it all happened in two weeks, and suddenly I was traveling to Vancouver and started shooting the show. So it was a bit [of a] whirlwind; it was fun."

Last August SciFi Vision visited the set of Syfy's Defiance to learn about the upcoming second season. At the time, the cast was only into the second week of filming, and was working on the first three episodes of season two. Dewshane Williams, who plays the character of Tommy, took time out of his day to sit down with the site at the NeedWant for an exclusive interview.

NBC will soon be premiering its new series Welcome to Sweden. The series, which is based on events in the life of executive producer and star Greg Poehler, focuses on the couple Bruce (Poehler) and Emma, played by Josephine Bornebusch. When Emma is offered a banking job in her native home of Stockholm, Sweden, she accepts, and her boyfriend agrees to move with her. Bruce has no clue what his new life will be like.

In preparation, Poehler and Bornebusch talked to the media about the series which premieres July 10th.

The second season of The Bridge is about to premiere on FX. This season Sonya Cross, played by Diane Kruger, meets someone who's connected to her past that will cause problems between her and her boss (Ted Levine).

In preparation of the premiere, which airs July 9th, Kruger recently talked to the media in a conference call about the upcoming season.
