“It takes a very special team to tell the tales of GOTHAM. For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of GOTHAM and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama,” said Madden. “This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn’t be more proud of this show.”

Set in the near future, Colony centers around a family living in an occupied Los Angeles. During the invasion they were separated from their son. When Will (Josh Holloway) is asked to work with the occupational government, he realizes it offers a chance to get his son back and reluctantly agrees. Meanwhile, his wife, Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies), has been secretly working for the Resistance.

On the last episode of Colony, Will finally confronted Katie about her actions, but she still refused to collaborate and went through with the Resistance's plans to capture one of the visitors arriving in Los Angeles.

On Thursday, in the season finale, the Los Angeles bloc is placed on lockdown in reaction to the visitor having been taken hostage.

Earlier in the week Callies, who is probably best known for her work on Prison Break and The Walking Dead, talked to the media about her work on the series.
