Bree Williamson Joins the Cast of "Haven"

Season three of Haven recently returned to Syfy, and this week's episode introduces a new character to the series, Dr. Claire Callahan, played by Bree Williamson, who is has not only come to Haven to help Audrey cope with her problems, but also to help the "Troubled" with their afflictions, as well as profile and catch them when need be.
Williamson, known for her roles on such shows as Gossip Girl and One Life to Live, recently talked to the media about her upcoming episode.

J.H. Wyman on the Final Season of "Fringe"

Season five of Fringe premieres tomorrow on Fox. The episode picks up after the events from last season's "Letters of Transit" in the year 2036. The Fringe team have preserved themselves in amber, and they and an adult Etta reunite to find out what happened to Olivia and try to find a way to stop the Observers in "Transilience Thought Unifer Model-11."
In preparation for tomorrow's episode, J.H. Wyman, the executive producer and showrunner, talked to the digital media about the final season.

Revolution 1.2 Review: "Chained Heat"

Ever since “Lost” fascinated (and infuriated) viewers with its methodical revelations, slowly rotated through the back stories of the main cast, the debate has been joined about the best way to roll out a show’s secrets. “Revolution” (or perhaps, “R___evolution,” as per the opening credits,) has decided on the opposite approach; chucking plot points up on the screen willy-nilly. The frenetic pace of the pilot continues, leaving no chance to get to know the characters. Unfortunately, what little we do learn doesn’t make us care about most of them. A few parts are working, but only where the actors manage to rise above the material.

Having most of the team members confront threats to their loved ones provided more than enough tension. But much like the penultimate hour of the third season, this lead-in to the mid-season finale ended with a punch to the collective gut.

Layers of mystery began to peel back, and by the end of the season arc, the series was gearing up to take things to the next level. New Girl returns to Fox Tuesday, September 25 with all new episodes. Deschanel is known for her work in films such as The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and The Happening, and on television for roles such as on Weeds and Bones. Deschanel is also known an accomplished musician for her collaboration with M. Ward with She & Him.

Site Issues
If you notice anything not working today it is because I am trying to fix the site - something, maybe a plugin is causing the server to run much higher than it should. I have unlimited bandwidth on my webserver, but evidently it isn't exactly unlimited if it goes high enough. Given that I haven't suddenly had a high influx of traffic and it hasn't happened before (at least from what I can tell) I am assuming and hoping it is a script.
In the event it's not a script but the traffic I get, I'm not sure what is going to happen as I don't have $100 or whatever a month to pay for a dedicated server. Though I am going to start with some ads if I can figure it out, I don't know if it will be enough. For the moment I am turning off the one module I was using to display photos. This will only affect the galleries under "multimedia>promo photos" and only those directly on SFV (for example the press tour photos in the actually gallery won't be affected). I'm waiting to see if this fixes the issue, as they are the newest thing I have added to the site.

It's getting much more difficult to impress viewers with pilot episodes in the wake of Lost's departure from television. Shows that have huge casts and sprawling mythologies are becoming less successful with every passing season. The JJ Abrams name and brand lives on though, and "Revolution" has that attached to it so that comes with the baggage it entails.

Now that the direction of the season/series has been set more or less in stone, it’s all about how the writers are going to manage to make it work. On the surface of it, as I mentioned in reviews for previous episodes, the majority of the damage is to the integrity of Arthur’s character arc. In one fell swoop, he is rendered all but useless again. This episode doesn’t change that, but it does show that Annie’s characterization is back on track.
