MAGNOLIA App Will Offer Original Content, Exclusive Workshops and More for discovery+ Subscribers

WACO, TX (February 11, 2021) – Chip and Joanna Gaines’ multiplatform Magnolia joint-venture with Discovery, Inc., today announced a July 15, 2021 launch for MAGNOLIA, a first-of-its-kind, immersive digital brand product providing a home for all things Magnolia, including exclusive workshops, easy-to-use shopping experience and more. Coinciding with the July 15 MAGNOLIA app launch, an expanded slate of Magnolia originals will also be available for streaming on the new app and in discovery+, building on the Magnolia Network Preview currently available in the service Unlimited access to the complete Fixer Upper library will also be available on July 15, via discovery+ and the MAGNOLIA app.
 
Starting in July, discovery+ and the complementary MAGNOLIA app will offer discovery+ subscribers access to Magnolia’s robust slate of original programming—more than 150 hours of premium unscripted content from an ever-growing roster of creators spanning home, food, gardening, design, entrepreneurship and the arts—including the complete first seasons of Fixer Upper: Welcome Home and Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines, plus highly-anticipated new series Growing Floret, The Lost Kitchen, Homegrown, Family Dinner and Restoration Road with Clint Harp, and more, in addition to the complete Fixer Upper library.

Exclusive discovery+ Docs Feature Award Winners and Festival Favorite Documentary Films From Executive Producers including Paul Rudd, Mariska Hargitay and Jason Momoa

New York, NY – February 11, 2021 – discovery+, the definitive non-fiction, real-life subscription streaming service, announced its feature documentary slate for the first half of 2021 today at TCA. An eclectic curation of festival favorites and award-winning films that will launch exclusively on discovery+ include GROOMED, the powerful story of woman who travels back to her home country to confront her past sexual abuse as a child; MIRACLE FISHING: KIDNAPPED ABROAD, the extraordinary story of a father, kidnapped in Columbia, told through the family’s archival video footage; THE WALRUS AND THE WHISTLEBLOWER, following Phil Demers crusade to free the walrus Smooshie; and MY BEAUTIFUL STUTTER, a film that includes Paul Rudd and Mariska Hargitay among executive producers, highlighting a group children and their inspirational experiences at Camp Say, in New York. The exciting line-up also features GENIUS FACTORY, about the controversial “Nobel Prize sperm bank” of the 1980s and 90s and APOCALYPSE ’45 an emotional recount of the end of World War II by those who lived through it.

LOS ANGELES – September 17, 2020 – After a striking debut on the streamer as the #1 performing Max original since the platform’s launch, HBO Max has ordered a second season of Raised by Wolves, a serialized sci-fi series from master storyteller and filmmaker Ridley Scott (The Martian, Gladiator, Alien), which has immersed fans into the rich, intricate world of Kepler 22-b. The series, which debuted with three episodes on Sept. 3, has continued to be a strong performer in its second week on the platform, growing its audience by nearly 50% week over week.

NEW YORK, NY, March 27, 2020 – AMC Networks Entertainment Group today announced that it is moving the season three premiere of Killing Eve up by two weeks, to next Sunday, April 12 at 9/8c. As was previously announced, all eight new episodes will be simulcast on BBC AMERICA and AMC.

“We know how adored this series is and we know how keen people are for great content right now,” said Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios. “This season of Killing Eve digs deep psychologically, and with actors like Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw the results are nothing short of astonishing. We literally couldn’t wait for fans to see it.”

The third season of the award-winning drama continues the story of two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice. For Villanelle (Jodie Comer), the assassin without a job, Eve (Sandra Oh) is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family, and allegiances…and perhaps a share of their souls.
