In Riot Women, Kitty (Rosalie Craig), recently released after having been caught shoplifting, is singing in a bar when she’s approached by depressed teacher Beth (Joanna Scanlan) at a time when they both need it the most.

The two, along with Kitty’s arresting police officer, Holly (Tamsin Greig), midwife Yvonne (Amelia Bullmore), and pub owner, Jess (Lorraine Ashbourne), form a punk rock band in order to take part in a local talent contest. The unlikely friends find their voices while facing the challenges of women of a certain age, from menopause to absent husbands and more.

The Hunting Party, which debuts its second season tonight on NBC, follows a small team of investigators, including ex-FBI profiler Bex Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh), CIA Agent Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sabongui), and prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie) who track down the worst of serial killers who have escaped the top-secret prison known as the Pit. The series, which is a hybrid of both procedural manhunt and serialized conspiracy thriller, picks up where last season left off, with the team having been disbanded and Bex pushing to get the hunting party officially reinstated in the aftermath of Odell (Nick Wechsler)’s attack.

Recently, star Roxburgh spoke with SciFi Vision about the tone of season two, how the new players and loss of Odell affect the dynamics, Bex and Shane getting closer, guest stars this season, and more.

Tonight, season two of The Hunting Party premieres on NBC. Equal parts procedural manhunt and serialized conspiracy thriller, the series follows a small team of investigators led by Bex Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh), who track down and capture the worst of the worst serial killers who have escaped from the top-secret prison known as the Pit. Picking up where the season one finale left off, in tonight’s all-new episode, Bex works to have the team reinstated to continue their search for the missing inmates, the first of which is Ron Simms (Eric McCormack), an escaped killer targeting women who are searching to find love.

Eric McCormack, along with his son, Finnigan McCormack, who plays a younger version of Ron, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the premiere, getting into the dark character, keeping it consistent, working with rabbits, and more.

Today, the Acorn TV original crime drama, My Life is Murder, returns for its fifth season. The eight-episode season season, starring Lucy Lawless as investigator Alexa Crowe, features all new intriguing cases, starting today when Alexa and her tech wiz Madison (Ebony Vagulans) investigate a cheer squad when a fitness influencer is suddenly murdered.

Star Lawless recently spoke to SciFi Vision about her character’s growth this season as well as possible romance, some of the guest cast coming up, how her character has changed her, and much more.

The Hallmark Channel reality competition Finding Mr. Christmas, which started out with ten aspiring male actors competing to become the next leading man for the network, closes out its second season tomorrow night when the top three contestants, Craig Geoghan, Rustin Cole Sailors, and Angel Garet, take part in their final star quality challenge. During the season finale, the three will film a three-part scene in three different locations that ends in a kiss. Acting in a scene alongside not only Ellen Krakow, but host Jonathan Bennett, judge Melissa Peterson, and actor Kristoffer Polaha as well, the finalists will see if they have what it takes to win it all.

When season three of Blue Lights starts, response officers Grace (Sian Brooke), Annie (Katherine Devlin), and Tommy (Nathan Braniff) are now two years into their jobs when they are pulled into a major drugs and trafficking case across Belfast. It becomes personal for Grace when she realizes that vulnerable teenager and drug runner Lindsay Singleton (Aoife Hughes) is the same girl she once tried to save in her social worker days. Meanwhile, Stevie (Martin McCann)’s promotion to sergeant changes the dynamic between them, leaving him torn between backing her instincts and enforcing the rules from his new position.

Brooke recently spoke with SciFi Vision about season three, including the impact of Stevie’s promotion on his relationship with Grace, how her character feels about Lindsay and if she regrets changing professions, and more. Blending historical fiction with an offbeat murder mystery during the Gilded Age, The Artist opens with the death of industrialist Norman Henry (Mandy Patinkin) and then rewinds to examine how a week-long gathering at his estate where the invited guests are prominent, influential people of the time, ended in murder. Among the guests is Danny Houston’s Edgar Degas, whose eyesight and career are fading.

The actor recently spoke with SciFi Vision about the working on the series and becoming the French Impressionist artist.

The first three episode of the series are available now for free on The Network, with the rest of the season dropping on Christmas Day.

Part one of the new series The Artist comes to The Network this Thanksgiving. The series features a blend of real-life historical figures and a fictional story created by Iram Rappaport, who also directed the murder mystery. Set in New York’s high society during the Gilded Age, the story follows eccentric tycoon Norman Henry (Mandy Patinkin) and his wife, Marian (Janet McTeer) as they host the biggest celebrities of the era at their extravagant home. Their guests include scientist Thomas Edison (Hank Azaria), artist Edgar Degas (Danny Huston), and model and actress Evelyn Nesbit (Ever Anderson) as she becomes known overnight after her husband, Harry Thaw (Clark Gregg), murders the architect Stanford White during an event at Madison Square Gardens. However, truths are revealed, and by the end, Henry is found dead, launching the historical murder mystery.

In developing the series, writer and director Rappaport wanted to capture something that felt unpredictable. “I would say it’s a scorched earth, Gilded Age murder mystery where you don't know who's dead, who's dying, who's doing the killing or what historical facts are accurate until the very end,” he told SciFi Vision. “…You don't know what's real and what isn’t.”

He began shaping the idea during the recent writers’ and actors’ strikes. The tension he saw in the industry became a creative spark. “I just saw the polarization between these creatives and these artists that were fighting for a little bit, these, you know, presumptive kings of the industry who were deeply in debt…but still felt entirely in control of the artists that essentially produced for them,” he told the site. Setting the story during the Gilded Age allowed him to mirror those power imbalances.

Casting the series meant building roles around the actors he brought onboard. Rappaport explained that the process began with Mandy Patinkin, but it took time for the actor to connect with the material. “[H]e sort of didn't understand it and passed on it,” Rappaport said. After meeting again and explaining that the tone wasn’t as dark as he thought, Patinkin signed on with one condition, which helped shape the rest of the series. “He had one condition, that we sort of shoot it like a love story and that even though these two people have sort of fallen out of love and hate each other, they sort of find it again.”

Part one of the new series The Artist comes to the streaming platform The Network on November 27th, followed by part two on December 25th.

In a recent interview with SciFi Vision, Gregg and Anderson opened up about filming one of the series most iconic moments: a spectacle involving camels, a live band, and gunfire.

“Turns out I love camels. Who knew?” Gregg told the site with a laugh. Anderson added that she had never even seen a camel in real life before filming.

Gregg reflected on the ambitious scene from episode three. “[T]his was a huge scene with camels and the period costumes and gunfire and all of that stuff. So, it felt like a really big moment in the show, and luckily, it was really well written and really fun to play.”

The whole part of the shoot moved very quickly, according to Anderson. “What I can pride Hilary Shor and Aram Rappaport on is they really kept us going on that day, because we had pretty much at the entire beginning of the episode three…in one day,” said the actress, adding that it bonded the two of them.

Tonight, an all-new episode of Sheriff Country airs on CBS. A spinoff of Fire Country, the series follows Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) as she navigates small-town life and family ties in the rural town of Edgewater, where she juggles family and duty. Christopher Gorham plays the role of Travis Fraley, a lawyer and Mickey’s ex-husband with whom she shares a daughter, and who’s now dating her deputy, Cassidy Campbell (Michele Weaver).

When Gorham first joined the project, he admitted that, like many fans, he had not watched Fire Country before reading the script. “I had never seen Fire Country before I [was] reading for this job,” he recently told SciFi Vision during an interview. “…I read the script, and then I went back and started watching Fire Country and became a fan. So, now I've seen all of them. I'm all caught up.”

He called the show’s emotional core his favorite aspect. “The family stuff to me is really the heart of the show,” he said, adding that Mickey’s struggle to balance her home life and work family is “really compelling.”

Gorham also talked about the complexity of Travis’s relationship with Mickey and Cassidy, noting, “Cassidy and Travis didn't intend to start a relationship…[T]hey both have a deep affection, or love, for Mickey. And I think that that thing that they have in common, which ironically is Mickey, is the thing that ended up bringing them together.”

During the interview, Gorham also discussed his work on season two of the comedy Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage where he plays reprises his role as Scott, Mandy’s ex-boyfriend and boss at the local news station, which is causing some conflict between the two lead characters. “Scott invites her on a story, like an overnight story that they're doing on the meteor shower, which is going to require her to go out of town with Scott for over the weekend, and Georgie's not happy about it, which spurs him to come and have a man-to-man conversation with Scott,” he said, adding that he has been looking forward to Scott and Georgie finally meeting.
