***The following is review/breakdown followed by a detailed recap of episode 304 of FROM, “There and Back Again,” and it contains spoilers for the episode.***
Tonight’s episode of FROM really ramped up the action once again and didn’t stop. This week the stories finally converge with Tabitha returning to the town, but of course nothing can ever be easy on FROM.
From inside the town, we have the phone call, with whoever is on the other end now talking to Ethan and not just Jim. This is where it’s hard to tell if whoever or whatever it is sometimes wants to help, is just pushing its own agenda, or really just wants to screw with them so no one knows what to think. The fact that “Thomas” told Ethan that his mother was coming could have been taken as a good thing, but perhaps it was also because they knew he or Jim would run out and they wanted more deaths and chaos.
Meanwhile, Colony House is dealing with the aftermath of the crow, and I question who actually cleaned it up. Bakta refused to do it. Did Nicky end up picking up the bird? It wasn’t actually shown, but her death later in the episode makes me wonder if perhaps the bad omen was also for her. I do however think, as Tilly seems to point out, that it’s likely pointing to a bad sign for Fatima and her baby as well.
We get some nice scenes with Victor and Sara in this episode which I really liked and understand why Victor chose her to share his story with. We don’t really get a whole lot of information beyond what we already know in the end, however, during these scenes. The main takeaway is that Victor wants to find Jasper the dummy, who we’ve seen previously on the series.

Citadel: Diana, which premiered yesterday on Prime Video, takes place in Milan in 2030, where Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis) is a Citadel agent working as a mole in the enemy Manticore, as well as in flashbacks eight years previous, when Citadel was destroyed by Manticore. Diana sees an opportunity to escape but must rely on an unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir to Manticore Italy, as well as the son of its current leader, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who is competing for control against the other European families.

The film, Caddo Lake, which was written and directed by Celine Held and Logan George and was inspired by the filmmakers discovery of a picture of the real lake online, premieres today on Max. The movie follows Paris (Dylan O’Brien) and Ellie (Eliza Scanlen), who both live in Karnack, Texas near Caddo Lake. Paris searches for answers to his mother’s death when she drove off a bridge due to suffering from mysterious seizures, while Ellie struggles with finding her place after her mother (Lauren Ambrose) remarries a man named Daniel (Eric Lange) years after being left by Ellie’s birth father. Their paths converge after her 8-year old step-sister Anna (Caroline Falk) mysteriously disappears. Ellie investigates, and the more threads she pulls, the more surprises she unearths as she tries to link together the past.
Sweetpea, which premieres today, stars Ella Purnell as Rhiannon Lewis, who often goes unnoticed by most people, blending into the background. She’s frequently passed over for promotions at work, faces unrequited love, and deals with her father’s grave illness. However, everything changes when her life takes a dramatic turn and she reaches her breaking point and snaps. The once invisible Rhiannon becomes a formidable woman as she gains strength from her transgressions and now seems capable of anything, but can she keep her killer secret hidden?
Today, the all-new thrilling series Teacup, inspired by the bestselling novel by Robert McCammon, Stinger, premieres on Peacock. The series takes place on a farm in rural Georgia, where a family and their neighbors are trapped but must come together to stop a mysterious and deadly threat.
Executive produced by Chip and Joanna Gaines, the new competition series, Roller Jam, premieres today on Max. The first-ever roller dancing competition, which is six episodes in total, features top roller skating crews in the country vying for a chance to win $150,000 in cash plus a $10,000 donation to their local rink. Roller Jam is hosted by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and actress Jordin Sparks, while US Olympian and national figure skating champion Johny Weir and roller-skating legend Terrell Ferguson serve as two of the judges, with the addition of a celebrity guest judge every week.
Although there isn’t as much heartbreak in the episode this week, the plot is still moving fairly quickly. It’s clear from the beginning of the episode that the town is still screwing with everyone, in this case, Jim. I don’t think Jim would have any reason to believe anything different than that is their intent. Even if his son Thomas were still alive, he would not be old enough to call him in the first place, though this clearly would still be painful for him. The voice basically threatens his other children as well, of course, which makes it all worse. I appreciated though that he’s not listening to the voice and brushed it off quickly. I do think the person (?) on the other end fulfilled their purpose, however, because Jim is becoming very irritable and snapping at his children, whether he believes it or not.
The new unique competition series Killer Cakes, from Blumhouse Television and Cake Boss creators High Noon Entertainment, is available starting today on Prime Video. The two-episode series challenges contestants to create terrifying and disturbing cakes with the help of horror special effects artists of Hollywood. The competition is hosted by horror actor Matthew Lillard, and food artist and cookbook author Nikk Alcaraz and Scream Queen Danielle Harris serve as judges.
In this week’s all-new episode of FROM, Kenny (Ricky He) leads a group to retrieve the food he and Jim (Eoin Bailey) found in the last episode, while Ellis (Corteon Moore) and Donna (Elizabeth Saunders) try to stop Boyd from making rash decisions without a solid plan. Meanwhile, outside of the town, Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) learned more from Henry (Robert Joy) about Miranda, including that she made a bottle tree installation in the park before ending up in the town. However, on the way to the park, the two are hit by another car, which starts a chain of events that will change everything when she wakes up in an ambulance that comes upon a familiar fallen tree in the road.
