Hysteria!, which premiered yesterday on Peacock, takes place in the late 1980s during the “Satanic Panic,” when a well-liked varsity quarterback suddenly disappears. Seizing the moment, a struggling high school heavy metal band of misfits decide to exploit the towns new obsession with the occult by branding themselves as a Satanic heavy metal band. However, when a series of bizarre kidnappings, murders, and other alleged supernatural activity occur, they find themselves at the center of a witch hunt that implicates them as the prime suspects.
Recently, creator, writer, and executive producer Matthew Scott Kane and writer and executive producer David A. Goodman spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series, including creating the look of the 1980s, and more.
