Sergio Balleseros, played by Mark Ghanimé, is one of the most interesting characters on Syfy's Helix. Throughout the season it has been difficult to ascertain where his loyalties truly lie (other than to himself). The season finale, which aired tonight, continued in that vein.

Ghanimé talked one on one with Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision earlier in the week about the season finale and other key moments of the series for his character.

Tonight Syfy airs the first season finale of Helix. In the show, Kyra Zagorksy stars as Julia Walker, a cellular biologist who accompanies her ex-husband, Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell), to the Arctic Biosystems research facility after a deadly virus has been released, infecting his brother Peter (Neil Napier), who she previously had an affair with.

During the course of the season, Julia is infected with the virus as well, and like Peter, starts to change into something else. She is saved, however, by Hatake (Hiroyuki Sanada), who she discovers is her father, and is now apparently immortal like him.

Thursday night Fox premieres its new comedy series Surviving Jack. In preparation leads Christopher Meloni, who plays Jack Dunlevy, and Rachael Harris, who plays his wife Joanne, talked to the media on Monday about their new series.

Last week another contestant was voted off of American Idol, MK Nobilette. The twenty year old from San Franciso made the top ten and will be a performer in the concert series for American Idol XIII.

Last Sunday NBC premiered its new series Crisis. Star Dermot Mulroney, who plays Francis Gibson, recently talked to the media about his character and what fans can expect moving forward.

Mulroney talked to SciFi Vision about not knowing the full storyline from the beginning of filming. "It is true that I had very little knowledge of what was coming moments later. We'd get the scripts about four or five days in advance. The thing is, we did the whole season as planned - 13 episodes, so now I know everything and it's awesome. There's some really good semi sci-fi twists in our story too that I think people are going to love...It comes unexpected and it's not alien mother ships or anything but, you know, there're some touches. It's really enjoyable in terms of those types of stories."

Tuesday from the Jim Henson Company and Syfy comes the new reality competition series Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge. The show will feature ten contestants who will build creatures to win $100,000 and the job of a lifetime – a contract to work at Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

Chairman of the Jim Henson Company and the Creature Shop, as well as son of Jim Henson, Brian Henson, is lead judge on the series. Yesterday he talked to the media about the new Syfy series.

Henson would not reveal much to SciFi Vision about the upcoming creature designs on the series. "We kind of keep it a little bit secret, because that's part of the fun, so I won't tell you too much. I will say that creatures in general - there's a really wide range that you can do depending on if they're small or they're large or what kind of technique you're using. Is it more fabrication or is it more mechanization?

Sunday NBC premieres its new series Crisis. In the show, a school bus of children of Washington D.C.'s elite are kidnapped on the way to a field trip, starting the crisis. Their parents range from top CEOs to diplomats, to even the President's son. Parents are soon contacted, with the show asking the question, "What would you do and how far would you to get your child back safely?"

An FBI agent assigned to the case, Agent Sussie Dunn, played by Rachael Taylor, and rookie Secret Service Agent Marcus Finley, played by Lance Gross, must come together to figure out what's really going on and to help save the children.

The two recently talked to the media about the new series, which premieres Sunday night on NBC.
