This Friday, Jeri Ryan guest stars on the popular Syfy series Helix as Constance Sutton, the chief operating officer of ILARIA Corporation, the owner of Arctic Biosystems. She is clearly not who she first appears to be.

In preparation for the episode, Ryan, along with showrunner Steven Maeda, talked to the digital press earlier in the week about the upcoming episode and new character.

Ryan talked to SciFi Vision about her character on the series. "She was just fun. This was a really fun role to play, because she's kind of out there. You know, she's not subtle, which I love.

Last month, Syfy premiered one of its newest series, Helix, and they received a massive reaction, bringing in exceptionally high ratings for the network. The show follows a team of scientists from the CDC, led by Dr. Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell), who are brought to the Arctic Biosystems research facility to investigate a possible virus outbreak.

The creator of the mysterious new sci-fi thriller, Cameron Porsandeh, recently sat down with Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision for an exclusive interview to talk about his series.

Porsandeh talked about how his journey to creating the series started. "I had an idea for a script and I pitched it to my agent, which was an interesting thing, because they liked the idea, and they said, "This is going to be a tricky sell; if you feel confident you should go ahead and do it." So it didn't go out with a pitch; I wrote it on spec, completely on spec. And I was really excited about it when I was done.

Last month Syfy premiered season four of Lost Girl. Two of the stars, Anna Silk, who plays Bo, and Ksenia Solo, who plays Kenzi, talked to the digital media recently about the series.

The two actresses talked to SciFi Vision about what makes Bo and Kenzi's friendship that makes it so strong. Solo said, "I think that Bo and Kenzi were two lost souls, you know, in very different ways, but I really do believe that they were lost and they found each other in this kind of crazy set of circumstances. And I...would assume when you meet somebody in like a life and death situation, you know, you are automatically bonded with them.

"And in their case it was that, plus a million, and they have always been there for each other no matter what, and I think it is very rare, whether in the fantasy world or in real life, to have a friend that would take a bullet for you and, you know, is going to listen to your crap no matter how many times you want to talk about your breakup, or will teach you things, or will be there for you absolutely no matter what.

"They found a home in each other and they found an unbreakable bond. So whatever makes it unbreakable, I don't know if I could put it into words, but I just think they have a connection that goes beyond anything. I think it is very spiritual."

Recently Syfy premiered the new season of Being Human. In preparation stars Sam Witwer, who plays Aidan, and Meaghan Rath, who plays Sally, as well as executive producer Anna Fricke, talked to the media about the fourth season.

The three talked to SciFi Vision about the fact that this season will bring a lot of returning characters, including Kenny (Connor Price), Henry (Kyle Schmid), Marcus (Vincent Leclerc), Bishop (Mark Pellegrino), and even Sally's brother, played by her real-life brother, Jesse Rath. Rath said about the guest stars, "I think we can say a lot of our guests stars this year are people that you've seen before. Our favorites from the last couple of seasons somehow reappear this year...I think it's a greatest hits. It's a greatest hits kind of season."

Witwer added, "Totally a greatest hits. It is. It is. And it was so much to have all of these guys back, because we hadn't seen some of them in a long time. But, weirdly enough, you know, everyone likes to say, "Oh anything can happen on a sci-fi show and death doesn't mean you're done." And it doesn't, but we generally didn't violate any death rules.

One of Syfy's new series, Bitten, recently premiered. The series focuses on Elena Michaels (Laura Vandervoort), the only female to ever live through being bitten by a werewolf. She wants to live a normal human life with her boyfriend Philip McAdams (Paul Greene), but is pulled back to the pack to help solve a murder by a mutt. Things are made more complicated by the fact that one of the pack members is Clayton Danvers, played by Greyston Holt, who is also her ex-boyfriend, and is still in love with her.

Holt recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about his new series.

Holt got the part of Clay after sending in his audition. "I basically, almost about a year ago actually, just had an audition for it. I live in Vancouver, and my agent and I, we taped an audition for it and sent it out to Toronto and didn't do anything for a little bit. And then they called, and they wanted to see another tape.

Syfy recently premiered its new series Bitten. The actor talked about how he got the role of Nick. "I initially auditioned for the show when I was in LA last January. It was one of the first shows that I auditioned for when I was down there, and I auditioned for the role of Clay. And I actually got a call back for it and went in and then didn't hear anything for just over a month.

In preparation for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Sochi, NBC recently aired Russia Calling, an inside look at how two-time gold medalist Shaun White prepared for the games. The Olympic winner talked to the digital media last week about the special, which he also executive produced, his band, Bad Things, the upcoming Winter Games, and more.

White talked to SciFi Vision about living the dream and making it to the Olympics. "I guess in the very beginning, I mean, the Olympics was just a dream. I mean, there was no Olympics. X Games had just started and there was no real shining future for me in the sport - or for anyone in the sport at that time. It was definitely not what it is today; it was brand new. It was very kind of rebel. We weren't even allowed on some of the mountains and stuff like that.

"And so I remember competing and then learning of the opportunity that I could one day go to the Olympics once it had started. But I guess from the beginning I always - I would be lying to say I always knew that I would be here. I always knew that I could do it and that I could win the events and at least make an amazing living and be the best at the sport at some period of time.

Recently released on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD, the third installment of the Riddick film franchise finds the title character (Vin Diesel) trapped on a sun-scorched planet, battling a new group of bounty hunting mercenaries, as well as deadly aliens.

One of the mercs, who vows to bring back Riddick's head in a box, is Santana, played by Jordi Mollà, who recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about the film.

The actor talked about how he developed the character of Santana for the film. "I met the director, David Twohy, and that was months before we started shooting, and I didn't read the script at that point. I had to wait like three months until they made the real offer.
