Tomorrow night Syfy premieres its newest endeavor Helix. The series revolves around a team of scientists from the CDC who come to the Arctic Biosystems research facility at the request of Dr. Hiroshi Hatake (Hiroyuki Sanada) to investigate the possibility of a virus outbreak. One of the victims of the virus is Peter Farragut (Neil Napier), the brother of Dr. Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell), the leader of the team of scientists. Also included on the team is Alan's ex-wife, Dr. Julia Walker, played by Kyra Zagorsky.

In preparation of the premiere, Zagorsky, along with executive producer Steven Maeda, talked to the digital press earlier in the week.

American Idol XIII debuts Wednesday, January 15th on Fox. In preparation, new Idol judge Harry Connick, Jr. talked to the digital media recently about his experience so far and what is to come.

Next month, FOX's hit The Following returns. The series, which was ranked number one new series and broadcast drama among the Adults 18-49 demographic, ended last season with the main antagonist and serial killer cult leader, Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), reportedly getting killed, leaving Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) to finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief, but only for a moment, as one of Carroll's followers stabs Claire Matthews (Natalie Zea). This season picks up a year later, after Hardy has started to pull his life back together and heal, at least that's the way it appears. His obsession with Carroll has not lessened.

On the anniversary of Carroll's death, some new murders pop up that have connections to Carroll and his followers. Can Hardy figure out the truth?

Earlier in the week the creator and executive producer of the series, Kevin Williamson, talked to the digital media about the upcoming season.

On January 1, 2014, NBC's Al Roker and Hoda Kotb will host the 125th Rose Parade live from Pasadena, California. This year the theme of the parade will be "Dreams Come True," and it which will feature forty four floats, including one celebrating The Voice, on which this season's winner, Tessanne Chin, will perform "Singing the Dream." While this will be Roker's seventeenth year hosting the event, it will be Kotb's first.

Roker talked to SciFi Vision about the excitement of seeing the floats in person. "We get to tour the floats ahead of time and you get a real sense of the float. You get a sense of the people who have been building it because these are all volunteers who are putting on, you know, rose by rose, petal by petal, gladiola by gladiola. They are putting all this stuff on. It really is pretty amazing and, you know, literally to the point where they are putting seeds on. They are painting seeds onto the thing. It really is amazing. I can read the descriptions that there is going to be this float and that float, but boy, I've got to tell you when you see them in person and see the animation and the technology that goes into this stuff, that is when you get really excited, and then you watch the faces of the folks in the stands that are right by our booth, and they are just like going nuts as these floats come across. And you think how can they possibly even create this thing? It doesn't seem possible. I just can't wait to see them."

Kotb told the site that she was excited for The Voice float. "I am kind of a Voice junky too. And I can't wait because it is down to the last three obviously and tonight they are going to pick the winner...so to see whoever the winner is, [Tessanne Chin], singing on that float is going to be awesome.

As The X Factor prepares to crown a new champion, Simon Cowell couldn't be happier. He has mentored Alex and Sierra all season and now the duo seems poised to take it all. They are the only act in the history of the U.S. version of the show to hit number one on the iTunes Top 100, with their cover of Sara Bareilles' "Gravity."

"What Alex and Sierra have achieved on iTunes over the last couple of weeks, which is phenomenal, I’ve never seen this happen with an artist, from a contestant," said Cowell in a conference call with journalists. "I’m really happy because the show is set up to achieve what it sets out to achieve, which is you find the star. So I’m really happy."

Win or lose, the media mogul said plans to keep working with Alex and Sierra after the show, adding "I'd be an idiot not to."

Exclusive Interview with Colin Ferguson for Haven

Tonight Syfy airs the season four finale of its series Haven, and Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision caught up with Colin Ferguson in an exclusive interview to get the scoop. Ferguson plays William, the man from another dimension who knew Audrey (Emily Rose), before she was Audrey, in fact before she was any of the other "versions" that we've previously learned about. They were together starting trouble – literally, as they played God, giving people of the town their unwanted powers. We don't know a whole lot about who Audrey's original personality, Mara, was, or why she enjoyed the destruction, just that she did, and she and William were punished for it.

This Friday, NBC will air a two-hour double feature of Grimm, with the episodes "Cold Blooded" and "Twelve Days of Krampus." Yesterday David Giuntoli, who stars as Nick on the series, talked to the digital media about the show.

Usually the storylines on Grimm revolve around either fairy tales or folk lore, but the latest episode focused on demon possession. Giuntoli told SciFi Vision, "I think the thing that kind of throws a curve ball into what the audience is expecting is good for the show. I think that what we've done on Grimm is - originally I was passed a book that had all these fairy tales in it, and that was what our episodes were based on.

"But as the show grows, as does the character Nick, and you discover that some of these other phenomena that take place in the world haven't yet been added to the book of fairy tales, but they are being added by Nick now. So we are taking other myths and folklore and otherwise just kind of stories that have been told and putting the little Grimm spin behind them now, so I enjoy that."

Last night Almost Human returned to FOX will the all new episode, "Are You Receiving," which centers around a hostage situation. Earlier in the day, Lili Taylor, who plays Captain Sandra Maldonado, and Minka Kelly, who plays Valerie Stahl, talked to the digital media about the series and the upcoming episode.

Both of the actresses talked to SciFi Vision about how they originally got their roles and why they decided to take them on. Taylor said, "For me it was kind of interesting because Maldonado was originally written as a man, and my manager suggested "what if you thought of Maldonado as a women and what if it was Lili?" And they were open to that, and I went in and I read, and I think it felt really like an interesting way to go for everybody. I was interested because of J.J. [Abrams] and Joel [Wyman] and they are very creative and they have a lot of creative autonomy as well, so all that combined made it interesting for me to join up.

Kelly added, "I auditioned. I was one of the last ones to be cast, and I auditioned, and then a couple of days later I was flying out to Vancouver to shoot the pilot. I also was attracted to it because of the people making it, J.J. and Joel. I'm big fan of theirs and I just had a strong feeling it would be something very interesting with these guys just because they're so smart and creative, and also the cast. The cast was already set in place and so I was really excited for the opportunity to work with these people."

On November 25th ABC Family will premiere the film Christmas Bounty during the Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas. The movie follows school teacher Tory Bell, played by Francia Raisa, who used to be a bounty hunter. When an old enemy is released from jail and plans to get revenge, she comes back home to stop him for good. She must also work with her ex, Mike, played by Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, to stop him.

Raisa and Mizanin recently talked to the digital media about the film.

On December 9th The Sing-Off returns to NBC for seven episodes. The competition series showcases the country's top a cappella groups. The winner group will get a recording contract and $100,000. Nick Lachey will once again host and will be joined by judges Jewel, Ben Folds, and Shawn Stockman.

Lachey talked to the media yesterday about the return of the series.
