BBC AMERICA Reveal Maisie Williams As Doctor Who Guest Star

Having landed back in the UK fresh from touring the US, today Maisie Williams sets foot on the Doctor Who TARDIS to take up a guest role in the hit BBC AMERICA show that returns to our screens this fall.

Maisie has already found global fame and is renowned for her role as Arya Stark in the international fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. She also starred in the one-off docu-drama Cyberbully and was cast as one of the leads of Carol Morley’s drama The Falling. As well as being a three-time Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee, in February of this year she was awarded with a Shooting Star Award at the Berlin Film Festival.

On her first day on set, Maisie Williams said:

Burbank, CA (March 30, 2015) – ABC Family has picked up its first scripted saga-to-series, “Shadowhunters,” from The Mortal Instruments franchise, announced today by Tom Ascheim, President, ABC Family and Karey Burke, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development, ABC Family. The series will go into production this May in Toronto.

Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, “Shadowhunters” follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.

SYFY’S DOMINION ADDS NEW RECURRING CHARACTERS FOR SEASON 2

NEW YORK – March 27, 2015 – Production is underway in Cape Town, South Africa for the 13-episode second season of Syfy’s supernatural drama series, Dominion. Joining the series’ stellar cast are recurring guest stars Nic Bishop (Covert Affairs), Simon Merrells (Spartacus: War of the Damned), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day), Olivia Mace (Doctors) and Luke Tyler (Chronicle). Season 2 of Dominion is set to premiere on Syfy in Summer 2015.

The first season of Dominion premiered in June 2014, and was cable’s #1 scripted program among viewers 18-49 and 25-54 in its timeslot (Live +7). Based on characters from the hit theatrical film Legion (2010), Dominion is set in a post-apocalyptic future, 25 years after an army of lower angels waged an epic war against mankind. The series follows the reluctant “Chosen One,” Alex, who must fight to save Vega (what was formerly Las Vegas) from the angels that are hell-bent on destroying humanity.

NEW YORK – March 24, 2015 – Season 4.5 of the USA Network fan-favorite series SUITS ended on a high note.  Not only are Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) now happily engaged, the March 4 finale hit a season high in live +7 in the key demos P18-49 (1.6MM) and P25-54 (1.8MM), and drew 3.4MM total viewers according to Nielsen. Overall, the second half of the dynamic 4^th season drew an additional 1.6MM video-on-demand transactions according to Rentrak, pushing SUITS to a combined total audience of 5MM.  
 
In the season finale, Pearson Specter Litt has scored a hard-fought victory – enemies have been neutralized, and the SEC investigation has been put to rest. But the fight has left the firm shaken. Although she avoided jail time, Harvey’s (Gabriel Macht) secretary Donna (Sarah Rafferty) has left him after more than a decade working together. Thirteen years after the original series run, FOX has ordered the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILES, a thrilling, six-episode event series which will be helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re-inhabiting their roles as iconic FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history.
 
The announcement was made today by Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group and Chris Carter, creator and executive producer of THE X-FILES. Production on THE X-FILES event series is set to begin in summer 2015. Further details remain under wraps and will be announced at a later date.
