My Lady JaneIn 1553, the young Tudor nobelwoman, Lady Jane Grey, was Queen of England for only nine days and then beheaded. My Lady Jane rewrites history to be the way that it should have happened: the damsel in distress doesn’t need rescuing; she saves herself – and then her kingdom. This alternate history is a tale of true love mixed with fantasy and comedy. The series stars Emily Bader in the title role and Edward Bluemel as Lord Guildford Dudley.

SciFi Vision recently spoke with series creator, executive producer, and writer, Gemma Burgess, as well as executive producer and writer, Meredith Glynn, about adapting the series from the book by Cynthia Hand. During the interview they spoke about why they wanted to make the series, what they kept from the book and what they changed, the music in the series, and more.
