Yesterday, My Lady Jane premiered on Prime Video. The series tells the alternate history of Lady Jane Grey, who in reality ruled as Queen of England for only nine days before she was beheaded. This tells what should have happened: the damsel in distress saves herself. The series is a mix of adventure, romance, and fantasy, starring Emily Bader as Lady Jane and Edward Bluemel as Lord Guildford Dudley.

Máiréad Tyers plays the role of Jane’s lady’s maid and best friend, Susannah. Tyers recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series, including why she wanted to be a part of it, working with the elaborate costumes, what kind of Ethian she would want to be, connecting with her character, her favorite filming location, and more.
