Season two of Surface arrives today on Apple TV+. The series stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Sophie, who is still struggling with amnesia after falling off of a ferry in season one. In season two, having traveled back to her hometown of London, she continues to deal with her memory loss while in search of answers about her mysterious past. She uses stolen resources to infiltrate elite British society, uncovering a link to a captivating heiress (Millie Brady). However, her journey takes a sharp turn when a journalist unexpectedly reaches out, revealing they had been collaborating to expose a dangerous scandal involving those closest to Sophie. As Sophie unravels these mysteries, she also faces the consequences of her past decisions and relationships including her complex dynamic with her husband, James (Oliver Jackson-Cohen).
