The Monkey is a 2025 darky comedic horror film based on a Stephen King short story, directed by Osgood “Oz” Perkins. The plot revolves around twin brothers Hal and Bill, who discover a cursed wind-up monkey that causes gruesome deaths whenever it is activated. As adults, Hal (Theo James) lives a solitary life, estranged from his son Petey (Colin O’Brien), due to fear of the monkey’s curse.

O’Brien, who is also known for his title role in the Apple TV+ series Dear Edward, and as a younger Wonka in the film Wonka, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film The Monkey, which is now in theaters.
