Vikings, History's new drama, follows the lives and adventures of real life Vikings, not just as warriors, but also their day to day lives. The story focuses on Ragnar Lothbrok as he rises among the Vikings. The series also tells of his family life, including his wife, Lagertha, played by Katheryn Winnick, and their two children. Lagertha was not only a devoted wife, but also a powerful shield-maiden and warrior in her own right.

The actress recently talked about her role in the upcoming series, which premieres March 3rd on History.

Nationwide auditions for season three of The X Factor will be underway soon – they start in Los Angeles on March 6th. In preparation, executive producers Andrew Llinares and Rob Wade recently talked to the media.

In the upcoming film The Host, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer (The Twlight Saga), a race of aliens have taken over the earth by taking over people's minds, but not everyone is willing to give up so easily. One "soul," Wanderer (a.k.a. Wanda) takes over Melanie Stryder (played by Saoirse Ronan), but she refuses to let go and they form a bond over the love (Max Irons) she left behind. As Wanda starts to share many of Melanie's feelings and emotions, her views change, and she decides to aid other humans who remain, in their fight against her kind.

One of these remaining humans is the character of Wes, played by Shawn Carter Peterson, who recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about the film. "Wes is one of a group of human beings that remain on Earth once the earth has been taken over by an alien invasion, if you will. And the aliens take over human bodies so you can't really tell who's human and who's not. The only way you can tell is by a silver ring that's around the cornea of the eye. And there is a small group of humans that have remained human and are hiding out in caves out in the desert, and Wes is one of those people."

History's new drama, Vikings, premieres March 3rd. The series follows Ragnar Lothbrok, played by Travis Fimmel (The Bay Town Outlaws, The Beast), a real figure from history, and his adventures as he resolves to sail to the west to find undiscovered riches and rises to become King of the Viking Tribes. The series not only focuses on the Vikings as warriors, but also as humans, as it shows how they live as a people.

The star recently talked to the digital media about the new series, which airs March 3rd on History.

March 3rd the new drama Vikings premieres on History. The series follows Ragnar Lothrok (Travis Fimmel) and other Vikings from history, in not only battle and other adventures, but also in their day to day lives. Ragnar's is determined to sail to the west to find untold riches, against the wishes of the earl. Earl Haraldson (Gabriel Byrne) and his wife Siggy, played by Jessalyn Gilsig, have one daughter and are devastated by the loss of their two sons. Siggy is encouraging to the earl in his attempts to best Ragnar, but she may not be completely loyal to her husband.

Gilsig recently talked to the media about her role in the upcoming History series, which premieres March 3rd.

American Idol recently returned for its twelfth season with not only new contestants, but new judges as well. The new panel consists of veteran judge Randy Jackson, country singer Keith Urban, and recording artists Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

As this is the first year Idol has a country music star as a judge, Urban, who recently talked to the media, brings a new flavor to the show. He helps balance the panel out as "the nice guy" as he doesn't think it's helpful to put down the contestants, especially if it's not constructive criticism. "I think every person handles critiquing differently. I'm trying to sort of get a feel for what I think the artist is comfortable hearing, what they're not going to be comfortable hearing. In most of the cases I'm just trying to think if it's something I can say that isn't—something that's just straight soul crushing and not helpful for them, I just don't see any worth in it.

"I'm trying to give specific direction, if it's something they can work on. And again, it's just my opinion. It's not to say it's a fact. They can take it. They can leave it. But I try to deliver it in a way in which I'd like people to deliver it to me."

It seems one Dreamgirl isn’t enough for NBC’s Smash. Jennifer Hudson, who won a slew of awards for the 2006 film, joined the cast earlier this season as Veronica Moore. Next week iconic star Sheryl Lee Ralph, a 1982 Tony nominee for her work in the original Broadway hit, joins Smash as Hudson’s powerful mother/manager, Cynthia.

“I love this character,” Ralph said in a recent interview. “This is a woman who is so comfortable in her well-earned Manolo Blahniks that it is a joy just to get to play her.

“She's so grounded in the church but at the same time she knows how to handle the world. You can tell that she's been under the leadership of a strong bishop or two, you know? And I love that about her.”

The Celebrity Apprentice returns for a six season, with an All-Star edition, beginning Sunday, March 3rd on NBC. In preparation, Donald Trump, as well as celebrity contestants La Toya Jackson and Bret Michaels, talked to the press earlier in the week about the new season, the charities they are playing for, and some of whom and what we can expect.

According to Trump, the series is doing extremely well in the ratings, "It's the number one show at 10:00 on Sundays..it has been doing very, very well in the ratings and so I would anticipate that it would continue onward.

"... This is our 10th year, it's our 13th season. So it has been a great success and it continues to do very well in the ratings."

End of the World, the newest Syfy original movie, premieres tomorrow night. The movie follows two video store employees (Eureka's Neil Grayston and Heroes' Greg Grunberg) as they must use their disaster movie knowledge to save the world from destruction. They also get help from a mental patient, played by Brad Dourif, who's known to most as the voice of Chucky from the Child's Play franchise.

The three actors, along with executive producer Lisa Hansen, talked to the digital media recently to discuss the film, which airs tomorrow night on Syfy.

Grayston told SciFi Vision that his favorite part had to do with the actual process. "Sort of my favorite part was the whole filming process, because it was a really sort of open and free and it almost felt a little bit like gorilla film making at certain times because we were just sort of fighting for the light all day.

"But we also just got to play around especially a lot of the scenes involved just me and Greg just sort of bantering back and forth and we got to kind of explore that a lot and very quickly. So it was a really fun shoot just in general and it kind of all blurs together now that I think of it because it was so open and free, but it was definitely one of my favorite experiences filming something."

Touch is back this week after a nine-month hiatus, with a new location and an expanded cast. The two-hour season premiere introduced several new characters played by Maria Bello, Lukas Haas, and Said Taghmaoui.

Fans will also notice a tweaked format. The show is stepping away from a procedural, mystery-of-the-week style and moving towards a more serialized approach. Series creator Tim Kring says that shift is deliberate.
