NBC's new series Hannibal premieres tomorrow night. The story follows Hannibal Lector (Mads Mikkelsen) in his early years, when he was known as a brilliant psychiatrist working for the FBI. He works to help criminal profiler Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy, as he often steps too far into the minds of serial killers, not knowing he is working with one.

In preparation for the premiere, executive producer and writer, Bryan Fuller, and star, Hugh Dancy, talked to the digital media about what's to come on the series.

Fuller talked to SciFi Vision about their approach to taking the series beyond a crime procedural. "Our approach was, how can we tell a slightly more heightened quality of serial killer tale each week to honor the style and the genre that Thomas Harris has really kind of created in and of himself, which you look at Francis Dolarhyde in Red Dragon who is a man who is looking to evolve outside of like the simplicity of his life that was corrupted by various abuses to a God-like being that existed inside of him.

"Or, Buffalo Bill who was a man who was looking to transform into a woman and the horrible deeds that he did to craft the human suit out of real live females.

"There is a sort of purple operatic quality to those style of murders that we tried to respect and kind of give more than a crime procedural that is so completely grounded in reality and actually...gives you something a little more grand than what you would see on other crime procedural shows."

Syfy's new series Defiance premieres April 15, however the Trion game will be released tomorrow. The television series revolves around Joshua Nolan (Grant Bowler) and Irisa, an Irathient (Stephanie Leonidas), as they end up in the city of Defiance, where the Pale Wars were fought. In this near future, multiple alien races, called collectively the Votans, have come to Earth after their solar system was destroyed. The Votans and the humans attempt to live together harmoniously after they refused to continue to fight and lose innocent lives during the war. However, of course, life in Defiance is less then easy, as Nolan and Irisa will soon find out.

The game, by Trion Worlds, will feature some of the characters from the series. Some events will crossover between the two formats. In the game you can choose to play as a human or Irathient, with possibly more options coming later. The massive multiplayer online game will be different from others because of the way it ties into the show. It's quite a unique experience.

The executive producer and showrunner of the series, Kevin Murphy, along with Trion's VP of development, Nathan Richardsson, recently talked to the media about both the series and the game.

Last week Devin Velez was the contestant voted off of Fox's American Idol. Velez, who hails from Chicago, recently talked to the media about his journey and what's to come.

Velez told the media that he received good advice from the judges and Jimmy Iovine during his time on Idol. "[The best advice was] from all of them, which is stay true to yourself. I think that I've been pretty consistent in doing that on the show. I was the same before the show, I was the same on the show, and I'm going to be the same after the show. Idol hasn't changed me. I have grown as a person, but I haven't changed who I am. I think that America fell in love with me for a reason, and I don't want to change, not just to let them down, but also not to let myself down. I think that you should be proud of who you are and the decisions that you've made as a person, and so I can say that I have no regrets on the show and if I could go back and change anything I wouldn't."

The singer was not surprised to be leaving the show, and is grateful for the experience. "Nothing of course was definite until the moment of, but even the night prior I was getting this feeling and I was like, "All right, now I think I'm going home." And I wasn't sad about it; I'm still not sad about it now, and it's weird because people are expecting me to be all mopey and crying, but my thing is, making top ten was winning for me, everything after that was falling action. It's a great accomplishment. Some of the contestants on the show that are still left, they've auditioned two or three times and this is my first time auditioning and I've made it this far. It's a great accomplishment and I'm so blessed to have made it this far."

The Wigs web series Lauren will be premiering its second season May 3rd. The series follows a third-generation soldier (Lauren, played by Troian Bellisario) in the aftermath of a rape and beating by her superiors. The story focuses on Lauren's struggle to do what's right, even when the miltary doesn't have her back. The series also stars Jennifer Beals as Major Stone, who walks the line between getting justice for Lauren and keeping her loyalty to the military.

Bellisario and Beals recently talked to the media about the brutally honest and eye-opening series.

Fox's American Idol is currently midway through its twelfth season. This time the competition has new judges in addition to veteran judge Randy Jackson. One of these new judges is singing sensation Nicki Minaj, who recently talked to the digital media about her time so far on Idol.

Minaj admits to being nervous at the beginning. "I didn't know what to expect going in to the show. I was so nervous. I had a lot of anxiety. I felt like, "Okay. I know everybody's just going to hate me. Oh well." There were moments in the audition process that I would say to the producers, "I can't do this anymore because if everyone is going to give good critic and I'm going to be the only one being honest then America is going to hate me. I'm going to be seen as mean." And the producers said, "Nicki, trust me America is going to appreciate the honesty" and that's all I had to go on.

"I had Mike Darnell, Trish and Nigel telling me that, you know, take their word and that's what I did. I took their word, and I came in every day and I was myself. What people see me doing with the constants is exactly what I do with my fans. Well, I don't critic my fans, but I definitely play with my fans and speak to my fans as if they're my friends, and that's why I started giving the contestants nicknames.

"When I'm laughing on the show I'm genuinely laughing. I can't come up there and pretend. I just can't do it. I can't be someone I'm not. I can't sit there with a phony smile on my face; I can't do it. I'm happy that people are responding well to it. I mean if I'm polarizing I'm polarizing. I don't know, but I definitely didn't have a preconceived notion of who I was going to be on that panel."

The latest contestant voted off of American Idol was Tennessee native Paul Jolley, who has described his style as a blend of country and pop. He recently talked to the digial media about his journey on Idol, as well as his plans for the future.

Jolley told SciFi Vision that his plans for his music haven't changed. "I still want to stick with the country/pop lane. I don't want to change what I feel in my heart that my calling is and what I need to be doing."

He also talked about auditioning for the show. "I had auditioned for American Idol a few times before and I never made it past the cattle call. I got to the point where I was like, well, maybe this TV show is just not for me and I was okay with it. Then this year I opened up for an artist named Billy Dean and—an amazing guy by the way—and so I was home the next week and one of the ladies that got me to do the show called me up and she said, American Idol is coming here next week, but it's not released. We want you to come and represent our town and come audition. I said, I'm off work that day, it works out, I'll be there.

"At that time, I didn't even know Keith Urban was going to be a judge and he's always been my idol ever since I was a little kid. It's funny how things just always play out in the favor of if you want something to happen and you believe enough that things will happen."

Last night Revolution returned with its midseason premiere on NBC. The episode, entitled "The Stand," continued where the series left off, with the group reunited but now on the run from Monroe's helicopter. The episode ended with a huge shock as one of the main characters were killed.

Before the episode, creator and executive producer Eric Kripke and star Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays Rachel Matheson, talked to the media about the death, as well as what else is to come on the NBC series.

Exclusive Interview with Edwin Hodge for NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Red on February 27, 2013

Last week, NCIS: Los Angeles introduced the audience to the NCIS agents of Team Red. One of the new agents is technical assistant, Kai Ashe, played by actor Edwin Hodge.

Hodge will be guest starring again tonight in the conclusion of the episode arc as part of the NCIS Red team, which is a planned spinoff pilot for CBS. In preparation the actor sat down with Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview to talk about the role.

Hodge talked about his character. "I play Kai Ashe and he's basically the team's technical assistant and he's the computer savvy guy; he basically maintains their hub. They drive these 18 wheelers called Laverne and Shirley and they basically transform into their office and their sleeping quarters and interrogation room; it's actually pretty cool. But he just makes sure that he maintains the vehicles and makes sure that everybody gets to where they need to get to, IDs, passports, things of that nature."

Psych is finally ready to air it's Clue inspired episode, which is also its 100th. To celebrate, USA Network is letting fans choose who the killer is in the episode: the butler, the author, the manager, the groupie, or the host.

In preparation, stars Timothy Olmundson, who plays Carlton Lassier, and Maggie Lawson, who plays Juliet O'Hara, talked to the media recently about the landmark episode as well as what else is coming this season.

Exclusive Interview with Malana Lea for Olympus Has Fallen

From director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), comes the new action thriller, Olympus Has Fallen, which stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, and Morgan Freeman, which opens nationwide tomorrow. In preparation, Malana Lea, who plays the villain in the film, talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.

Lea talked about the film and her role. "Olympus Has Fallen is an action movie about a disgraced secret service agent (Gerard Butler) who tries to save the president (Aaron Eckhart) in the midst of a terrorist attack on the White House. I play "Lim" - she's a commando/computer hacker terrorist."

The actress did not have a hard time getting the part. "I worked for the production company in the past; they called me in to read for this part, and the rest is history."
