SYFY RENEWS THE EXPANSE FOR SECOND SEASON

NEW YORK – December 31, 2015 – Syfy announced today that it has renewed its critically-acclaimed series THE EXPANSE for a second season. The 13-episode second season from Alcon Television Group is expected to air in early 2017.

DENVER, CO – November 11, 2015 – BBC Worldwide North America and Fathom Events announce the return of the longest running sci-fi television series, Doctor Who, to the big screen with a special theatrical event of the 2015 Doctor Who Christmas Special starring Peter Capaldi and featuring the return of Alex Kingston as River Song. The event will be in theaters on December 28 & 29, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. local time and feature an exclusive interview with Alex Kingston, as well as a 15-minute behind-the-scenes “making of” featurette starring Peter Capaldi, Steven Moffat and more.

Z NATION TO RETURN FOR SEASON THREE ON SYFY
 
NEW YORK– November 6, 2015 – Syfy and The Asylum today announced that scripted drama series Z Nation will be back to Z-Whack its way through a third season of zombie road trippin’ action. A 15-hour third season is slated to premiere on Syfy in 2016.
 
Z Nation takes place three years after a zombie virus gutted the country. A team of everyday heroes is tasked with transporting the only known survivor of the plague across the country to the last functioning viral lab in post-apocalyptic America, in hopes of using his blood to create a cure for the virus.

SYFY SHAKES UP THANKSGIVING WEEKEND WITH JAMES BOND MARATHON FEATURING EIGHT 007 MOVIES

NEW YORK – November 4, 2015 – Syfy will shake, not stir, the Thanksgiving weekend with a three day James Bond Marathon featuring eight films starring Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

The 007-fest kicks off at 6:30AM (ET/PT) on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, with the first Bond movie, Dr. No, starring Sean Connery, followed by all four of Pierce Brosnan’s films: GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

NEW YORK – November 3, 2015– Syfy’s highly-anticipated 10-hour series The Expanse will debut its first episode Monday, November 23 on a variety of VOD, TV Everywhere and digital platforms, three weeks ahead of its linear debut on the network. The series, from Alcon Television Group, premieres on Syfy with a two-night premiere Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15 at 10PM ET/PT, and continues on Tuesdays at 10PM for the remainder of the season.

Twentieth Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company will debut the first episode of the eagerly anticipated THE X-FILES event series on Tuesday, Oct. 6 in a World Premiere TV Screening at MIPCOM in Cannes, France. The episode – the first in the six-episode event series – is entitled “My Struggle” and will be unveiled by series creator and executive producer Chris Carter at the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals. 

On Saturday, Oct. 10, Fox brings the episode to the Main Stage of the Javits Center during the sold-out fan event New York Comic Con for its U.S premiere, followed by a Q&A with Carter, the episode’s writer/director, and series star David Duchovny.
