I've been a fan of this series for a good, long while, and a writer for longer than that. I became a Richonner almost instantly in season three. It was a ship I didn't actually believe would come to fruition. Each year at SDCC in Hall H, I began to subtly inquire about this pair that electrified our screens. By season six, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) had consummated their relationship. For they and their family unit had been canon since season four. 

Fast forward to both Rick and Michonne's respective departures from the flagship series of The Walking Dead, a long drought, and then... 

The light. 

Gimple, Gurira, and Lincoln got together during that down time and worked out how the future for the Grimes would look. This evolved from features to a (now) limited series of six episodes. But more than that, they gave their fans damn near everything. The finale was no different.

American Rust, which is based on the novel of the same name by Philipp Meyer, originally premiered on Showtime in 2021. Season two, American Rust: Broken Justice, premiered yesterday on Prime Video, and picks up four months after the events of season one. This season, Del Harris (Jeff Daniels) and Grace Poe (Maura Tierney) struggle to rebuild their lives while also dealing with being apart more than they’d like, as Del is now working as a detective back in Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, in Buell, a string of seemingly unrelated murders take place, hinting that there may be a larger conspiracy at play.

Earlier in the month, when star Tierney spoke with SciFi Vision, she talked about how Grace’s circumstances change quite a bit this season when she’s given a gift from her son (Alex Neustaedter). “In a way, it's the same character with the same hang ups and the same flaws in a completely and utterly new set of circumstances,” the actress explained. “So, I think it'll be hopefully interesting to watch, and it was interesting to play.”

Boat Story recently premiered on Amazon Freevee. The six-episode series, which previously premiered on BBC One in the UK, follows two strangers, Janet (Daisy Haggard) and Samuel (Paterson Joseph) who’s luck suddenly seems to change when they stumble on a shipwrecked boat on the beach full of cocaine. The two decide to make a fresh start for themselves by selling the drugs and splitting the profits, but doing so starts a chain of events that bring the police as well as hit men and the sharp-dressed gangster  known as “The Tailor" (Tchéky Karyo)

Recently, stars Haggard and Joseph spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the darkly comedic series, including, what drew them to the project, connecting with the characters, working with prosthetics and effects and more. Note that there are spoilers for the first episode in the interview.

The latest spinoff in the franchise, Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, which is based on the American series, recently premiered on Canada’s CityTV. The series centers on crime stories “ripped from the headlines,” and follows detectives as they pursue the offenders of high-profile homicides and corruption in the Greater Toronto Area. 

K.C. Collins, who stars as DCA Theo Forrester, the Deputy Crown Attorney, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about his work on the series, including how he connects with the character, what he looks for in roles, and much more.

On Peacock on last week’s episode of The Traitors, “A Game of Death,” after Kate Chastain (Below Deck) had been given an ultimatum, she joined Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta) as a traitor in the turret, and the two discussed who to murder. Later at breakfast, it was revealed that the next victim was Kevin Kreider of Bling Empire.

Last week, Kreider spoke with SciFi Vision about his time on the reality series, including how he wish he had trusted more and been more flexible, who surprised him the most, whether he was allowed to keep his death missive, if he thinks he would have made a good traitor, and more, as well as creating his own comic.

The highly-anticipated next series in the universe, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, premieres tonight on AMC and AMC+. The series sees the return of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) in an epic love story of two characters who have been changed by the cruelties of the post-apocalyptic world, trying to find their way back to each other. The series also stars Lesley Ann-Brandt as Pearl Thorne, Craig Tate as Donald Okafor, and Terry O’Quinn as the mysterious General Beal that has been spoken about on the previous series.

Each of the characters Thorne, General Beal, and Okafor start the series at odds in different ways with Rick. “For me, for General Beal, the head of the CRM, anyone who comes in has potential to be helpful or unhelpful,” O’Quinn told SciFi Vision of his character “…So, I just have to keep an eye on him. I see that he has a lot of potential. I think he's very smart, thereby he could be a gift, or he could be a threat.” 

Adapted from the Jane Austen classic, following the loss of the patriarch of the family and the rules of inheritance, the Dashwood women’s new financial circumstances force them to leave their home and move to Devonshire. Elinor (Deborah Ayorinde), the practical and eldest of three daughters, falls for Edward Ferrars (Dan Jeannotte), while her younger sister (Bethany Antonia), the middle child, falls for the exciting John Willoughby (Victor Hugo) while spurning Colonel Brandon (Akil Largie). When things don’t go as they expect, each sister learns to accept the other’s approach when it comes to matters of the heart.

Star Jeannotte recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including his wife’s love of Austen, whether he’s worried about being compared to Hugh Grant, costumes, who he would have liked more scenes with, and much more.

Created and written by Peter Harness, the first three episodes of the new Apple TV+ series, Constellation, premiered globally on Wednesday. The psychological thriller drama stars Noomi Rapace as Jo Ericsson, who travels to space with a group of astronauts, including Paul Lancaster (Will Catlett), only to return after a disaster to her husband (James D’Arcy) and daughter (Rosie and Davina Coleman) and realize that not everything is quite how she left it. The series also stars Jonathan Banks as Henry and Bud Caldera.

Recently, cast members Rapace, Banks, D’Arcy, and Catlett, along with Harness and Michelle MacLaren, who directed the first two episodes, spoke with SciFi Vision about the new eight-part series.

Last week on Peacock’s The Traitors, titled “Knives at Dawn,” it was revealed at breakfast that Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen of Love Island was the next to be murdered by the remaining traitors, Parvati Shallow (Survivor) and Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta). Bergie was Peter Weber (The Bachelor)’s right hand and therefore they decided his time was up. 

Earlier in the week, SciFi Vision spoke with Bergie about his time on The Traitors, including if he would have done anything different, his reaction to the full reveal, who surprised him, meeting fans, and much more. 

Tonight, NBC premieres the final two episodes of season two of Quantum Leap. In the first one, Ben (Raymond Lee) leaps into the body of a firefighter in 1974 and is once again reunited with Hannah (Eliza Taylor) and her son, Jeffrey (Connor Esterson). Then, in the season finale, Ben leaps into a speeding stock car in 1976, but he and the team must also work to stop a threat from the future.
