FROM's "Mouse Trap" Ends in a Shocking Twist

***The following is review/breakdown followed by a detailed recap of episode 303 of FROM, “Mouse Trap,” and it contains spoilers for the episode.***

FROMAlthough there isn’t as much heartbreak in the episode this week, the plot is still moving fairly quickly. It’s clear from the beginning of the episode that the town is still screwing with everyone, in this case, Jim. I don’t think Jim would have any reason to believe anything different than that is their intent. Even if his son Thomas were still alive, he would not be old enough to call him in the first place, though this clearly would still be painful for him. The voice basically threatens his other children as well, of course, which makes it all worse. I appreciated though that he’s not listening to the voice and brushed it off quickly. I do think the person (?) on the other end fulfilled their purpose, however, because Jim is becoming very irritable and snapping at his children, whether he believes it or not.

A big part of the episode is what Boyd is planning, wanting to capture one of the monsters, which he mentioned to his son in the last episode. The biggest problem with this is he has no plan. We know the town is trying to break him, and it seems to be working somewhat in the sense that it’s getting him to act rashly, but thankfully, at least for the time being, his son and Donna seem to have calmed him down. This thread is picked back up, however, towards the end of the episode when he goes onto the bus with Randall and intends to watch the creatures. Hopefully he will watch them first and then formulate a plan before he follows through with trying to capture one.

As an aside, I did also want to mention that two people in the episode, Jim and the bus driver, asked Boyd if things were going to get worse, which makes me think there is a good chance that they probably are.

Exclusive Video Interview: "The Dog Whisperer" Cesar Milan on 20 Years of TV + the New & Improved Halo Collar 4

Cesar MilanThis year, dog behaviorist Cesar Milan, known to the world as “The Dog Whisperer,” is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of his first television appearance. His series Cesar Milan: Better Human Better Dog is currently airing its fifth season on both National Geographic and Disney+. Milan continues his mission of inspiring a new generation of dog lovers on the new season, where he matches pet parents with the perfect companions to help them each complete their own family pack.

According to Milan, who spoke with SciFi Vision recently, the series is not only entertaining, but also educational and enlightening. “[There are] three kinds of people in the world,” Milan explained, “people who love dogs, people who are afraid of dogs, and people who don't like dogs. And I can help them all.”

Milan is also the co-founder of the Halo Collar, which is launching its new version, Halo Collar 4. The design has been revamped in smaller hardware with the same capabilities now inclusive to all size dogs, including small dogs (10+ pounds), where previously only larger dogs could wear the collar. Milan created the design himself to enable pet parents everywhere to have access to his training. The collar, which can instantly create and store unlimited wireless fences on each collar in the Halo app does not require a wi-fi or cellular connection, so you can always keep your dog safe off their leash and create a “backyard” wherever you are.  You can also use the built-in training to teach dogs to respond to a variety of sounds and vibrations, all of which is customizable, so you can find what works best for your dog. Other updates to the new addition include 25% longer battery life and a lighter all-day fit, as well as updated colors.
